Registration for SCRC 2024

Please remember that you must be a member of the SCRC to participate in the conference. We have several levels of membership (see below). The cost of membership goes toward keeping the organization running and the annual event funded. Membership comes with a year’s digital subscription to our journal, Explorations in Renaissance Culture.

Registration (required)

To participate in the conference, you must register. We have two prices for conference registration. For faculty, the cost is: $ 160.00 . For contingent faculty, independent scholars, and students, the cost is: $ 110.00 . Registration pays for the bulk of the cost of putting the conference together, the opening reception, the cost of our invited speakers, and the technology needed for the various talks at the conference.

Explorations in Renaissance Culture Print Subscription (optional)

All SCRC annual members (you) receive a digital subscription to SCRC’s peer-reviewed scholarly journal, Explorations in Renaissance Culture. Receive ERC issues for the membership year in print with this purchase.

The SCRC invites donations in memory of our colleague and longtime supporter of the organization, Joan Faust (1955-2022) to support undergraduate participation in the South Central Renaissance Conference. To donate more, please “purchase” multiple $25 donations.

The conference will take place in the beautiful DeSoto hotel in charming downtown Savannah, Georgia. The South Central Renaissance Conference is obligated to pay for a certain number of hotel rooms, through its conference participants, so please try to take advantage of the discounted room rate available through this link.  We recognize that some participants might want to save on costs by sharing a room at the conference hotel; to facilitate finding someone with whom to share a room, you can use this link to confer with participants about accommodations, rides (or introduce a new topic), restaurants, and more. Please approach the possibility of sharing a room or ride with the necessary caution.
